Grownup Gripe: If I need to eat like a rabbit in order to lose weight, I want my veggies to taste good.
When I was six months pregnant, I was at a wedding and asked for the Ranch dressing to be passed over. Everyone started dying laughing.
Initially they wouldn’t divulge the secret but eventually I got it out of them. They called Ranch dressing “fat girl ketchup”. #Ranchoneverything
Call it what you will.
Who doesn’t like Ranch?
It tastes amazing from scratch but for today’s lazy girl quick fix ranch dip recipe look no further.
You can’t go wrong with Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing and seasoning mix. It’s a classic.
One ounce will do you good! It also comes in pre-packaged packets to make things super easy.
The Hidden Valley spice mix is like no other. There are only two ingredients you need with it.￼
For a skinny Ranch Dip, all you will need is one ounce of Hidden Valley Ranch mix along with one cup of light mayonnaise and 3/4-1 cup of almond milk, depending on how thick you like it.
That’s the secret!
￼￼Everyone knows about light mayonnaise, it suggests that in the lowfat directions on the box.￼
The milk is just a filler in order to get it to a consistency of a dip or a dressing.
Almond milk is only 25 calories per cup.
You might not even like the flavor but you won’t even taste it (nor will anybody else!!!)
Between that and the light mayo, this Ranch is nearly 80% less fat and cals than its fullfat version!￼￼￼￼
Maybe Ranch isn’t your jam but you happen to have a kiddo that drinks it by the bottle.
One of these days swap their regular Ranch with this recipe and they’ll be none the wiser.
