Mask Makeover: Get Real

The world we we live in has us all stressed out!

As if it isn’t enough that we can’t put our minds at ease, the havoc is going to take its toll on our skin.

Skin is our Largest Organ

Our primary defense mechanism from infection.

Obviously keeping it clean helps, but what else?

When it comes to our mugs, you can bring out a fresh glow and new radiance with a face mask.

If you’ve been to the beauty aisle lately it’s a cornucopia of bright colors and huge promises.

Theoretically if these packets of youth actually worked we’d ALL be in luck but the majority are more marketing hype than anything else.

Have you seen the ingredient list?

If water is the main ingredient, how is it much different than our wake up and bedtime routine?

Furthermore if alcohol is the second largest ingredient, what’s so great about that?

Take a look at the backside (not just the glitzy facade) of your packaged mask. Check out what you’ve been painting or putting on your face.

Greek Yogurt

Whole milk flavor-free, full-fat, Greek Yogurt is chock full of skin-saving lipids and proteins.

How to make your OWN Fresh Faced Face Mask!

Start with 1/2 cup of Full-Fat Greek Yogurt and add at least 1-2 tablespoons of organic honey.

Add 1-2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice along with a dash or two of cinnamon.

Mix well and apply it to your face (avoiding eye area) letting it seep in for at least 15 minutes.

Using a warm washcloth, wipe off the dried mask.

You’ll look (and feel) like a new person. No worries if it’s tingly, that’s the cinnamon bringing oxygenated blood to your skin surface. #newglow

By boosting circulation you’ll look reenergized while lemon and honey remove dead skin cells.

Not only is this mask less costly than prepackaged options, more importantly you know what’s in it.
