Don’t get me wrong I love a good bun but more often than not they leave much to be desired.
Unless you’re talking a real Gonnella sub roll, the majority of buns people use to house a sausage taste like dry, stale bread but not here. So try this easy low-carb keto-friendly one.
You won’t miss the bun for a New York minute with this super easy low-carb sheet pan recipe.
Traditionally made with potatoes, remove those and add extra peppers – not only is it delicious and beautiful to the eye but the taste buds too.
It pairs beautifully with mashed cauliflower or just a good ‘ol Italian salad and green beans.

Italian Sausage & Peppers Recipe
1 pound of Italian sausage, mild or hot
1 red, 1 green and 1 yellow pepper
1 red onion and 1 clove of garlic, peeled
Olive oil and Italian seasoning
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Heat oil over medium-high heat and add Italian seasoning and garlic into saucepan. Cut up sausage and add to pan, brown and put on tray.
TIP-use liner or foil for easy cleanup. Add more oil to hot pan and get some brown edges on the peppers and onions before also adding to pan.
Place in oven for 20 mins to brown – enjoy!
